Windows subsystem for Linux (WSL)Is a compatibility layer that can run native Linux binary executable (ELF format) on Windows 10. Since the windows 10 WSL beta was released, WSL has become increasingly mature and has begun to support more and more Linux distributions, such as arch Linux, Ubuntu, Kali Linux, CentOS, Debian, etc.
It is a good thing for developers who are used to Windows development but want to experience Linux.
Note: after opening WSL, other virtual machine software (such as vmware workstation, VirtualBox) can not be started normally! Remember, remember!
After correction by enthusiastic netizens, it was modified as follows: after opening WSL, if Hyper-V is not enabled, other virtual machine software (such as vmware workstation, VirtualBox) can be used normally, but if Hyper-V is enabled, other virtual machine software cannot be started normally.

The good news is that arch Linux can also be downloaded
At this point, the installation is complete. After the installation of the system is no graphical interface, if you need to install it.
It should be noted that WSL is jointly launched by Microsoft and canocal. The kernel used is modified. After all, it is not a native Linux. This needs to be clear to all. However, for the new Linux partners, it is enough and can be regarded as a learning strategy. If you want to master it, you need to get started first.
At the beginning, Linux should not spend too much time on installation and preparation. First, choose a distribution that you prefer. If not, I recommend Ubuntu. This is a Linux distribution based on Debian. It has a high market share, rich documentation and community, and is also good for novices.
Ubuntu & Windows
Then start from the basic operations, such as create, move, copy, delete files and directories, switch directories, permission operations, etc., and then slowly deepen to learn advanced operation skills. After you adapt to the operation of Linux, you will gradually like it and realize the real power of Linux.
I wish you all a happy trip to Linux!
