Microsoft officially released the latest Windows 11 dev preview 22509 system update. This new version provides new layout options for the “start” menu, improves the edge + narrator experience, and fixes a series of bug bugs.
Microsoft has released another “service pipeline” update, which is a cumulative update for windows 11 dev preview 22509. Version 22509.1011 (kb5008918) is to test the service pipeline and usually does not include any new features or fixes. It house learned that updates to these service pipelines are necessary to ensure that builds are available to users without any noticeable problems or failures.
However, the internal testers of windows 11 dev channel may encounter an error bug when trying to update to this latest version.
“Some internal testers may encounter an error bug when trying to install the cumulative update (800f0823 error in the update history). Then try to install the cumulative update again and it is expected to complete successfully.”

This release includes a set of improvements that make it easier to navigate the web using narrators in Microsoft edge.
This release includes a good set of improvements, including new start layout options, the clock and date will now be displayed on the secondary monitor, and setting changes.
What’s new in build 22509
It’s now easier to use narrators to navigate the web in Microsoft edge
We have been working on a series of improvements to web browsing using Microsoft edge and narrator. Specifically, it should now be faster to enter edit fields, provide more useful information when navigating on the web, and finally, you will have a more consistent “narrator” navigation experience.
Narrator home page in Windows 11.
We made it easier to enter edit fields such as the address bar, because the narrator scan mode can now be turned off faster. Specifically, if you press Ctrl + L to jump to the address bar, you should be able to start typing immediately because the scan mode will turn off faster. This improvement will also help when filling out form fields, such as typing your name and address in different edit boxes. In addition to making it easier to type in the edit field, we also made it easier to delete in the edit field. The narrator will now read the character at the cursor position after deleting the character. In other words, if the cursor is on the “H” of “hello” and you press the delete key, the narrator will say “e”.
You will also get more contextual information when browsing the web. For example, the required radio buttons and edit fields will now be read out as needed, and more information about the list will now be read out, including the list level and the exact list index.
In addition to reading more information, you can also get a more consistent navigation experience through the narrator. This includes improvements to heading navigation, a more consistent scanning mode navigation experience, where scanning mode is unlikely to cycle between projects, and a more consistent hyperlink reading experience when navigating forward and backward.
Thank you for all your feedback on the edge narrator experience. These improvements are based on your feedback. Please continue to use windows + F to send us feedback.
Note: Microsoft edge 97.0.4683.0 or later is required to take advantage of these improvements on Windows 11 insider preview build 22509 and later.
Change and improvement
Starting with this release, you can right-click start to quickly access the start settings, and then select the more pins or more recommended layout options to display additional pins or recommended rows, respectively.
You can now configure to start according to your preferences to display more pins or more suggestions.
When the auxiliary display is connected, your clock and date will now also be displayed on the taskbar of the auxiliary display or multiple displays for easy browsing We’re starting to roll out this change, so it’s not yet open to all insiders because we plan to monitor the feedback and see how it landed before pushing it to everyone.]

This means that at any given time, you are likely to see up to four notifications at the same time – three high priority notifications and one normal priority notification We’re starting to roll out this change, so it’s not yet open to all insiders because we plan to monitor the feedback and see how it landed before pushing it to everyone.]
As part of our ongoing efforts to introduce settings from the control panel into the settings application:
We have moved advanced sharing settings, such as network discovery, file and printer sharing, and public folder sharing, to a new page in the settings application under advanced network settings.
We have made some updates to the device specific page under printers and scanners in settings to display more information about your printer or scanner directly in settings when available.
Some entry points for network and device settings in the control panel will now be redirected to the corresponding pages in the settings.
A new option has been added to the installed applications page of settings to sort the list from name (Z to a) and update the previous alphabetical option to name (a to Z) accordingly.
We will now remember whether you turned on Bluetooth or Wi Fi in airplane mode. The next time you use airplane mode, the radio will reflect your preferences and remain on, making it easier to continue listening to the headphones and stay connected while traveling.
Windows sandbox now supports restarting within its virtualized environment (for example, if you want to click the restart option under the power button in start).
When the system zoom is set to 125%, the start, search, task view, widgets, and chat icons in the taskbar should no longer be unexpectedly large.
If you repeatedly press the number instead of stopping in the last window, pressing the windows key plus sign (the number corresponding to the position of the application icon in the taskbar) should now cycle through the application’s window.
When the narrator focus is set to the task view button and the desktop pop-up button appears, narrator will now let you know about the desktop.

Unexpected tilt animation was removed when clicking a corner of the new desktop button.
Adjustments have been made to address the potential problem that causes the animation to move down to the mouse rather than away from the mouse when the context menu right clicks the desktop in task view.
