Tensorflow installation tutorial

Under Windows
  • Installing Python environment
  • Install pip
  • Install virtualenv (pip3 install-U PIP virtualenv)
  • Pip installation TensorFlow

    • Steps:

      • Creating a Virtual Environment

            virtualenv --system-site-packages -p python3 ./venv
      • Enter the Virtual Environment

      • Update pip

            pip install --upgrade pip
      • Show packages installed in venv

            pip list
      • After using TensorFlow, venv virtual environment can be launched.

      • Install TensorFlow

            pip install --upgrade tensorflow

It’s important to note that Python 3.6 must use 64 bit version under Windows, otherwise the installation will not be successful.

      • Verify installation

            python -c "import tensorflow as tf;tf.enable_eager_execution();print(tf.reduce_sum(tf.random_normal([1000, 1000])))"
  • Install Jupyter NoteBook

        (venv) $ pip install jupyter
(venv) $ python -m ipykernel install --user --name=venv
  • Installation under docker
    • Install mirroring

       docker pull tensorflow/tensorflow:nightly-jupyter
    • Startup mirroring
    docker run -it -p 8888:8888 -v $(notebook-examples-path):/tf/notebookstensorflow/tensorflow:nightly-jupyter
