sudo vim /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo

Copy code

The code is as follows:

# CentOS-Base.repo
#
# The mirror system uses the connecting IP address of the client and the
# update status of each mirror to pick mirrors that are updated to and
# geographically close to the client. You should use this for CentOS updates
# unless you are manually picking other mirrors.
#
# If the mirrorlist= does not work for you, as a fall back you can try the
# remarked out baseurl= line instead.

———RPMforge repository—————

Sometimes some software may not be available in the central repo. At this time, it is best to use the rpmforge repository, but in this way, there will be version conflicts during upgrading, so you can set it like this:

Download the RPO of rpmforge first:

wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm

Installation:

rpm -ivh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm

you’ll get a warning, but it will proceed based on the flags that you set. warning: rpmforge-release-0.5.2-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm : Header V3 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 6b8d79e6: NOKEY
Preparing… ########################################### [100%]
1:rpmforge-release ########################################### [100%]

Next, the most important thing is to set priorities:

Now you need to edit /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo and add these priorities to the bottoms of each of the following repo sections:

Copy code

The code is as follows:

[base]
priority=1
[updates]
priority=1
[extras]
priority=1

Save your changes on this file and edit the rpmforge.repo file. You’ll only need to edit the one repository section.

[rpmforge]
priority=5

Save your changes and you’re finished.
