Uwp is a new concept introduced by Microsoft in Windows 10. Because all uwp applications run in a virtual sandbox environment called app container, its security and purity are far better than traditional exe applications. However, APP container mechanism also prevents network traffic from being sent to the local machine (loopback), which makes most network packet capture debugging tools unable to analyze the traffic of uwp applications. Similarly, this mechanism also prevents the uwp application from accessing the localhost. Even if you enable the proxy in the system settings, you cannot make the uwp application access the local proxy server, which is very annoying.
In fact, windows 10 comes with a CheckNetIsolation.exe The specific steps are as follows:
1. Get the SID of the application through the registry
First, open the “run” window with the win + R shortcut key, enter “regedit” to open the registry editor, and then navigate to HKEY_ CURRENT_ Then find the application you want to remove network isolation in the registry key on the left. The displayName on the right is the application name, and the large string of characters on the left is the SID value of the application.
Input in terminal CheckNetIsolation.exe Loopbackexempt – A – P = Sid. When “done” appears, it’s done.
Then open the uwp application window, you should be able to enjoy the Internet.
If you think this method is too troublesome, you canhereDownload the free network debugging tool fiddler, and then select “winconfig” from the top menu. In the next window, check the application you want to exclude network isolation.
