Installation of cockpit

#Cockpit is installed by default in rhel8 system
yum list|grep cockpit

#Check whether the cockpit has been set to boot
systemctl list-unit-files|grep cockpit

#Set cockpit boot
systemctl enable --now cockpit.socket

#View cockpit running status
systemctl status cockpit.service

#Start service
systemctl start cockpit.service

#View cockpit running status
systemctl status cockpit.service

#Check whether cockpit port 9090 has been listening
netstat -nltp|grep 9090
#Add release service to system firewall
firewall-cmd --add-service=cockpit --permanent

#Restart firewall
firewall-cmd --reload

visit:https://IP: 9090. A higher version of browser is required for normal use. The user name and password of the local account can be logged in.

Common operations of cockpit

Turn off the firewall.

Configure the network.

The network configuration needs to be accessed through localhost, otherwise it will not take effect.
