Installation and configuration of QQ software in Linux

Many friends haveinstallI have Linux and want to use QQ in the Linux environment. Now I will share my successful experience in configuring QQ on red hat 9.0.

Select QQ software

Tencent has not launched QQ software specifically for Linux, but there are many free software or plug-ins that support QQ under Linux. These software can be obtained on the Internet. Commonly used software include gaim+openq, gaim+libqq and lumaqq. These software are available separately at the following links:

GAIM’s website is 。

Libqq website is 。

Openq website is 。

Lumaqq website is … / lumaqq-0.1b. tar. bz。

Gaim+libqq and gaim+openq both add QQ plug-ins to GAIM, so you must pay attention to the version correspondence between GAIM and QQ plug-ins.

An example of the version correspondence between GAIM and libqq is as follows:

◆ libqq-0.0.1-0.48. So is applicable to GAIM 0.48, 0.49;

◆ libqq-0.0.1-0.50. So for GAIM 0.50;

◆ libqq-0.0.1-0.51. So is applicable to GAIM 0.51, 0.52;

◆ libqq-Gaim-0.48-qq. Patch is applicable to GAIM 0.48, 0.49 and 0.50;

String 8

◆ libqq-Gaim-0.51-qq. Patch is applicable to GAIM 0.51 and 0.52.

For the correspondence between GAIM and openq, see 。

On LinuxinstallThere are two software modes: tarball and rpm. Tarball is a UNIX like operationsystemCommon ininstallMode; RPM (red hat package manage) is a package management method introduced by red hat company. It is a very good management method, but sometimes there are some dependency problems.

  1. In tarball modeinstall

Take GAIM package gaim-cvs-0218-qq-0.2.5 tar. GZ as an example, use the following commandinstall(root permission is not recommendedinstall): String 7

  $ tar zxvf gaim-cvs-0218-qq-0.2.5.tar.gz

  $ cd gaim-cvs-0218-qq-0.2.5

  $ ./configure –prefix=/home/foo/bin/local/gaim && make &&make install

  $ cd ~/bin

  $ ln -s /home/foo/bin/local/gaim/bin/gaim gaim

“. /configure–prefix=/home/foo/bin/local/gaim” specifies the softwareinstallThe directory of is /home/foo/bin/local/gaim.

“& &” is used to execute the following command after the previous command is successfully executed. This is the same as using ‘;’ There are differences, “;” Is used to execute commands on both sides, regardless of whether the previous command is successfully executed.

Note that ifsystemAlready ininstallWith GAIM, you need to edit bash_ Profile file, change “path” to “path=$home/binpath”, and then execute source bash_ Profile command. String 5

If the libqq plug-in is not included in the GAIM installation package, you can use the following commandinstalllibqq:

  $ gunzip

  $ su -c “cp /usr/lib/gaim”

  2. In RPM modeinstall

RPM will be installed as specified when making RPM packagesinstallSoftware, and root permission is required.

  installGAIM’s software package gaim-0.58-2 I386.rpm and libqq plug-in libqq-0.0.3-ft-0.58-gcc296 so. GZ, execute the following command: String 4

  # rpm -qa|grep gaim

  # rpm -e gaim

  # rpm -ivh gaim-0.58-2.i386.rpm

  # gunzip

  # cp /usr/lib/gaim

Openq is also GAIM’s QQ plug-in,installmethodSimilar to libqq.

  3. Lumaqqinstall

In fact, lumaqq does not needinstall, just unzip its software package, modify Java environment variables in its startup script, and then run it. There may be a problem when using lumaqq: if you open lumaqq first, XMMS will not make a sound; On the contrary, lumaqq will not have a prompt tone. This is due to the exclusive use of the sound card by Linux. You can change the sound card driver and use alsa to manage the sound cardsolveThis problem.

Create a shortcut on the desktop

  1. GNOME desktopsystem

Right click the desktop and select create quick launcher. Fill in the required information respectively (pay attention to the path of GAIM when using GAIM with QQ of the plug-in), and then click the icon button to select the icon you like. By default, icons are stored in the /usr/share/pixmaps directory. You can change the path to get more choices. String 2

  2. KDE desktopsystem

Right click the desktop and select new → application link. Fill in the name of the shortcut, select the icon, and then fill in the command (full path) in the command bar of the “execute” tab.

Create shortcuts in the taskbar

  1. GNOME desktopsystem
