How to install tomcat9.0

Tomcat 9.0 installation tutorial

1. After the download is completed, start the installation. Users who install for the first time are advised to click Next directly instead of selecting plug-ins

2. You can set your own account name and password

3. A very important step!!!!!!!!! Set JDK installation directory, everyone’s path is not the same, it is recommended to search according to their own computer

4. After installation, right-click My Computer properties advanced system settings environment variable,

Add the following variables to the system variables

(1)TOMCAT_HOMEThe variable points to the path of the decompression file. There are lib, bin and other folders in the directory. The adding method is as follows:

Click new under environment variable and fill in Tomcat in the variable name_ Home, fill in the path of the decompression file in the variable value,

(2)CATALINA_HOMEThe value of this variable is the same as Tomcat_ Home is the same, and the setting method is the same as (1), as shown in the figure

5. Click start running, type “CMD” and enter it in the consoleservice install Tomcat9

Install tomcat9 service item in the system.

Then enter the control panel system and security management tool service, find the Apache Tomcat tomcat9 service item, right-click the item, and click start to start the service, as shown in the figure

6. Open the browser and enter the address barhttp://localhost:8080or

If the Tomcat sample home page appears, the server installation is successful, as shown in the figure

Note: every time you need to start Tomcat server, you need to run it startup.bat Documents. If you feel troublesome, you can set the startup type in the service to automatic. But it will be slower.
