Installation tutorial

1. Download the software, double-click to run mariadb-10.5.5-winx64.msi

2. Click I accept… To accept the license agreement

1. Enter CMD in the start menu, right-click to run as an administrator. After running, CD the execution directory to bin directory in your decompression directory, and select the required software version. Take 64 bit as an example

2. Create a new data directory in the MariaDB installation directory and enter mysql_ install_ db.exe Initialize (the data directory is the “working directory” by default, otherwise the service cannot be started)

4. Enter MySQL – uroot to log in to the database (the first login password is blank, do not need to input). After logging in, switch the database: use mysql, and set the password: update user set password = password (“root”) where user = root;

5. Log out: quit restart service password takes effect:
net stop mariaDB
net start mariaDB

6. The default codes of MariaDB are GBK and Latin1, which are modified to utf8mb4.
After logging in, enter the MySQL database: use mysql, execute the command: Show variables like ‘character%’, and query the character codes of all attributes of the current MySQL database

Execute the following command to modify:

MariaDB [mysql]> set character_set_client=‘utf8mb4’; ;
