How to insert space in dock column of MAC system

Recently, the dock bar of some users has become very cool. There are some spaces between applications, which makes some applications with similar functions a category. This makes other unclear users feel very surprised, how to add spaces in the dock column? Now let Xiaobian teach you.

Start the terminal and run the following command:

  defaults write persistent-apps -array-add ‘{“tile-type”=“spacer-tile”;}’;killall Dock

After the command is successfully executed, you will find that there is an extra space at the end of the left half of the dock column. If you want to add more space, you can directly execute the above command (you can press the “up” arrow to enter the command you just executed). After adding more than one, you can drag and sort the applications in the dock column, and finally achieve the effect in the figure above.

However, the above command is only valid for the left half of the dock column. If you want to add spaces to the right half (application, document, download, wastebasket), you can use the following command:

  defaults write persistent-others -array-add ‘{tile-data={}; tile-type=“spacer-tile”;}’ ;killall Dock

Of course, some users just want to delete the empty space in the dock bar after the experiment is successful. It’s also very simple. No command is needed. Just press the mouse in the empty space and drag it out, just like deleting other icons on the dock bar.

Now do you know how to make your dock bar appear blank? Interested users quickly try on their own MAC, let those who do not understand envy it.
