SAP Integration Suite combines cloud integration (process integration), API management, integration advisor and open connectors into a cohesive and simplified toolkit for enterprise integration. In order to provide a comprehensive integration experience, these services are not provided separately, but only as part of the Integration Suite service plan.
Using this scenario, you can design and execute an integration flow that reads the product details for a given product identifier from the webshop. For example, product details include data such as product name and price. To complete this scenario, you need to use the sap Integration Suite, especially its cloud integration and API management capabilities.
You use cloud integration to design and deploy Iflow. After the design is completed, the API Explorer tool of API management is used to expose the integration flow endpoint as API.
- You can also define how to access the API in terms of authentication by assigning a dedicated predefined policy template.
- Using this policy template, you can define API access based on OAuth client credential granting methods.
- Finally, you use API management to call the API and get the product details in the response.
Enter the sap business technology platform trial account console and click the Create button of instances and subscriptions
Create a new Integration Suite service plan of type trial:
After the service subscription is created, you can click go to application to enter the Integration Suite console
If you have subscribed to a stand-alone service, such as open connector, cloud integration, or API management service, make sure you unsubscribe. If there is a stand-alone subscription, you will not be able to activate the corresponding functions through the Integration Suite.
Click Add capabilities and select design, develop and operate integration scenarios and design, develop and manage APIs
Enable API business hub enterprise:
Finally, click activate to add the function
Tenant provisioning takes about 20 minutes.
Wait patiently for the status to become active:
Automatically assign roles and create service instances using Booster
In this step, you will execute a booster, which will assign you the roles needed to access and use the activation function, and create a service instance of the process integration runtime.
A booster is a set of guided interactive steps that enable you to select, configure, and use services on SAP BTP to achieve specific technical goals. In this case, the Integration Suite booster will help you assign roles and create service instances.
The service instance defines how to call SAP BTP services (in our case, process integration runtime services) from remote components. In the context of cloud integration, service instance is the definition of OAuth client. The service key generated from the service instance contains credentials and other information, which is called for integration flow in a later step.
Find Integration Suite booster in SAP BTP cockpit:
Select design, develop, and operate integration scenarios and design, develop, and manage APIs:
The booster then automatically assigns permissions and creates a service instance
