Recently, when I’m free, I just wrote about the installation and use of neovim for your reference. Many people may see that neovim is confused. Vim and VI have been used. What is neovim?
Neovim is a derivative version of vim, which is basically compatible with vim. However, some plug-ins do not support VIM, so I switch from VIM to neovim. I usually use dual systems (manjaro + windows 10) inLinuxThe experience of using neovim under Linux is better. It is recommended that you use the Linux operating system (such as deepin, Ubuntu, etc.). Since the installation and configuration under Linux is very convenient, I won’t say more. Let’s talk about the installation method of neovim under window 10.
First put a picture of neovim after I configure it:
1. Go to GitHub to downloadnvim-win64.zip
2. Unzip it to the place you want. Here I unzip it to e: program files
3. Configure environment variables:
There are many ways to configure environment variables. I’ll use it here. Open the run box with Win + R, enter sysdm.cpl, and then press enter
Select advanced and environment variables in the pop-up box (my computer is an English operating system, so it may look a little different from everyone’s, but the content is the same)
Select path in the pop-up box and click Edit
Then fill in the path after finding the path
At this point, neovim can run anywhere on your computer. Of course, you can also find nvim-qt.exe in the unzipped bin directory without configuring the environment variables. You can double-click it directly to run it, but I directly configure it into the environment variables for convenience.
Enter nvim directly in prompt commands (CMD) and press enter to run it. Of course, here is Amway Windows terminal, which can replace CMD. Good luck and good UI.
After installation, the configuration is complete. Find C: usersuser nameAppdatalocalnvim path. The appdata folder is usually hidden. Of course, you can also enter% appdata% in the run box, and then press enter to enter the appdataroaming directory. You can also find it by stepping back one level. There is an autoload folder in this directory (if you don’t have one in your folder, please create it yourself) and thenhttps://github.com/junegunn/v…
Next, create a new init.vim file in the nvim directory and write the configuration in it, which is basically the same as the VIM configuration. My nvim configuration file has 1000 lines, so I won’t post it. You can configure it according to your preferences. If necessary, you can leave a message. I can issue a VIM plug-in and configuration article~
