Dusty Memories Volume 2: Serekh resource pack has been released.
In this resource pack, concept artist Edvidge Faini takes you into an unknown laboratory of evil.
This project is dedicated to creatingAAAHigh-end resources required for high-level works. We hope to inspire creators to expand their fields, observe, analyze and learn from the technology and creative methods of industry veterans.

Contents of the resource pack
The Serekh resource pack provides a complete lighting environment, which mainly consists of two parts: Service Area and Main Chamber.
This modular sci-fi style laboratory consists of walls, floors, trim, brackets and other structural elements, providing over 100 item resources. The featured element, the Arm arm, has a full rig and provides animation.
Characters are sculpted and integrated into Unity with the highest standards. The character has a full rig with over 100+ animations integrated in the character controller.
This resource pack has two music tracks that allow you to add sound mixing effects to any Unity project. You can use separate audio backbone files to create subtle ambiences or complete music, and all files are exported in WAV format configured at 44.1Khz and 16Bit.
In the depths of a distant swamp lies an abandoned facility called Neuratek, where scientists once conducted biotechnology experiments.
Researchers are working with an object composed of an unknown material, a sealed container containing biological material that cannot be easily attributed to any known species. After studying the containers and the inscriptions on them, Minamoto and his team concluded that the organic matter was the scales of unicorns.
Minamoto tried to replicate the genetic structure of the unicorn, but he experienced failure after failure.
His obsession led him to combine his own DNA with that of Kirin, and when that event came, it seemed Minamoto was on the verge of a breakthrough.
The facility has been abandoned, Minamoto has disappeared, and a beast has awakened.
Dusty Memories Vol. 2: Serekh is a resource pack for action-adventure games that allows developers to experience becoming a humanoid with legendary powers and powerful technological weapons.
Concept artist Edvige Faini said: For players who are keen on the sci-fi genre and want to try playing as troublesome monsters, this resource pack can make them enjoy it.
The Serekh resource pack discusses the frailty of human beings in the face of technology and science, and the limits of what can be broken through human intervention,
In particular, interventions related to genetic modification. We can’t help but think: what does this mean for future humans?
Character artist Maria Panfilova said: It was challenging to think about how to customize the character at the low poly level, we ended up making a body with interchangeable functions, with placeable features such as: horns, ears, tail, spikes Thorn etc.
The unicorn in the resource pack is a creature that combines human and animal features. Its body model is designed to allow you to replace or customize various features. It can also be equipped with armor and weapons provided by the resource pack.
Character Artist Maria Panfilova: For the shading we used the Unity HDRP mode. I adjusted the color of the character using a Layered/Lit shader and a mask texture.
Liu Tianyu, lead environment artist at Arts United, said: By using the modular function, users can control these Lego-like component parts according to their own imagination.
For textures, we used as many tiling and decorative textures as possible so that users can create different effects based on these elements.
This resource pack has decals for the environment to adjust the color and other details of the environment.
For transparent materials, the creative team used Unity’s high-definition rendering pipeline HDRP to achieve the final effect. The function of HDRP allows us to generate refraction and reflection effects.
Level designer Johaness Reuben said: The idea is to make a more detailed low poly version, similar to the SNAPS prototyping series resource pack.
animation and rigging
The unicorn has over 300 bones and the skin weights have a maximum influence value of 4 to achieve a smoother process for the animators. For the armor in MotionBuilder, the creature has automatic movement to avoid overlapping of the armor and body.
To animate it more efficiently, a custom IK system is also set up for the fur. Models such as embryonic arms, cranes, containers and weapons also provide rigging and animation.
Rigger Ng Boon Wei said: We provide custom constraint settings, which are used to pass skeletal animation to the controller, so that custom mirror constraints can reflect the entire animation.
Animator Myles Yeo said: Regarding the movement effects of the unicorn, users will get 33 lightly stylized realistic movement animations made by hand rather than motion capture, as well as some eye-catching animations. The animation resource pack has container, mechanical arm and three kinds of embryo animations. We provide native FBX files and advanced HIK rigs to allow users to create custom animations.
The Serekh resource pack comes with two main music tracks, including a remix of one of them, created by the team at Pinewood Studios, providing 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound, as well as a stereo mix to give users a more multiple choice.
We’ve included live mix scripts that allow users to create custom mixes, and users will have all the original audio files to manipulate the effects and tracks to their liking.
Music composer Nathan Cleary said: The music track and mix can not only be used independently, but also can be mixed and used in various scenarios. Some of my favorite mixes are actually short mixes like drone sound effects and short melodies.
FX sound effects
The Dusty Memories resource pack prompted the creative team to record unusual new sounds that users can customize to their unique productions.
Pinewood sound designer Sophia Leader said: In a small jewelry workshop that uses a lot of traditional machinery, I collected a variety of unique sound effects, including small machine sounds and large mechanical noises. I used different microphones to capture , to handle layering and depth.
We provide special sound effect assets in different layers and lengths so that users can use available assets suitable for animation, or insert independent sound effects for more flexibility. The sound effects in the resource pack allow users to easily create sci-fi/fantasy-themed games or projects.
Prototyping of resource packs
The SNAPS prototyping resource pack is a 3D theme model made with ProBuilder, focusing on making 3D prototype levels easier and faster for beginners and senior developers. The prefabs of the SNAPS resource pack are made to real size, but are designed to be resized together when using ProGrids.
You can prototype your own sci-fi/fantasy title, customize it, add custom fidelity, or replace SNAPS prototyping assets with high-end models from the resource pack.
Resource Pack Description
The Serekh resource pack needs to use Unity 2018.3 or Unity 2018.4 LTS and HDRP, the resource pack will be updated to support the future stable support version of Unity LTS and the official version of Unity 2019 which will be released in the third quarter.
Resource pack content:
High-fidelity character models, easily customizable body parts, armor and weapons; over 100 animations that can be mixed and matched in the animation controller to create unique animations.
