DOS shutdown command


shutdown [-i | -l | -s | -r | -a] [-f] [-m \\computername] [-t xx] [-c “comment”] [-d up:xx:yy]

     There are no parameters            Display this message (and  ?  (same)
    – i                display   GUI   Interface, must be the first option
    – l                Logout (cannot be associated with option)  – m   Use together)
    – s                Turn off this computer
    – r                Shut down and restart this computer
    – a                Abort system shutdown
    – m  \\ computername      Remote computer shutdown / restart / abort
    – t   xx              Set the shutdown timeout to   xx   second
    – c  ” comment”          Close comment (max   one hundred and twenty-seven   (characters)
    – f                Force the running application to close without warning
    – d  [ p]:xx:yy        Closing reason code
                     u   It’s the user code
                     p   Is a planned close code
                     xx   Is a major reason code (less than   two hundred and fifty-six   (positive integer of)
                     yy   Is a secondary reason code (less than   sixty-five thousand five hundred and thirty-six   (positive integer of)

– F: forcibly shut down the application

  -m  \\ Computer name: control remote computer

– I: displays the graphical user interface, but must be the first option of shutdown

– L: log off the current user

– R: shut down and restart

– t time: set the shutdown countdown

  -c  ” Message content “: enter the message content in the shutdown dialog box (no more than 127 characters)
