Change the name of network card in Linux system

1、 Rename the name of network card configuration file to eth0 (you can also change it to another name)

2、 Disable NIC naming rules

This function is available through

/etc/default/grub

To disable this function, add the

“net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0”

that will do

3、 Add udev network card rule

Create a 70 persistent NIC rule in the / etc / udev / rules. D directory- net.rules File, write the following parameters in the file:

SUBSYSTEM==”net”,ACTION==”add”,DRIVERS==”?“, attr {address} =” MAC address of network card whose name needs to be modified “, attr {type} = =” 1 “, kernel =” eth ““,NAME=”eth0”

The above is the way to change the name of rhel7 or CentOS 7 network card. Finally, eth0 indicates that the name of network card has been changed successfully!
