When downloading resources, there is a problem that the pop-up window does not download

Today, I encountered a problem. Downloading resources inside the website was good before, but after the recently upgraded version of Google Chrome browser, there was a pop-up window that did not download. The problem was found after relevant search because the new version of chrome thought that some websites misled users and thought that the download link of file HTTP was safe. Chrome will ensure that security pages (i.e. HTTPS pages) can download security files. To this end, Google will gradually prohibit Chrome browser from downloading non HTTPS unsafe files. At the beginning, it may prompt a download warning, which will eventually completely prevent users from downloading.

The reason is that chrome thinks it is unsafe to download files using non HTTPS links, and users are prevented from downloading in the new version.

So there are two solutions

  • 1. Update the download link to HTTPS
  • 2. Adjust the download security level of the local browser

Adjust the download security level of the local browser

Enter in the browser chrome://flags/

find#treat-unsafe-downloads-as-active-contentOption, then select disable, restart the browser, and download the HTTP file again
